Biography:
This year’s Grand Champion 4-H
Broiler Pen weighs in at 40.3 lbs
and is shown by 18-year-old Stephen
Smith of Runnells. Stephen will be a
senior this year at Southeast Polk
High School where he
participates in baseball,
basketball, football and FFA.
Stephen is a member of the New
Beginnings 4-H
Club and works part time at Prairie
Meadows. |

Kristin Arkfeld, Earling
Parents: Brian and Mary Arkfeld
Biography:
16-year-old Kristin Arkfeld, from
Earling, holds the Reserve Champion
4-H Broiler Pen title. Kristin will
be a junior this fall at Harlan High
School where she’s active in
cheerleading. A member of the
Lincoln Leaders 4-H Club, Kristin’s
additional projects have focused on
child development and food and
nutrition. She works part time at
Elm Crest Retirement Community and
enjoying reading, shopping, working
with animals and hanging out
with her friends and family. |
