Nolan Ferguson of New Sharon
exhibited the Grand Champion 4-H
Market Steer. Nolan is 16 and will
be a junior this fall at North
Mahaska High School. He’s active in
football, baseball, FFA and 4-H.
He’s a member of the Adams Champs
4-H Club where he focuses his
attention on beef projects. When
he’s not playing sports or in
school, you can most likely find
Nolan clipping cattle. |

Douglas Boosters 4-H Club and
participates in several projects,
including conduct of meetings and
livestock judging. He’ll be a
sophomore this fall at Orient-
Macksburg High School and is active
in football, track, baseball and
student council. In his free time,

In her first year exhibiting cattle,
Mandy Kohlhaas of LuVerne took home
the Grand Champion 4-H
Market Heifer title with her
1,270-lb heifer. Mandy is 16 and
will be a junior this fall at Bishop
Garrigan High School in Algona.
Mandy plays basketball, golf,
volleyball and softball and is a
member
of the Riverdale Rustlers 4-H club.
She’s also active in her church and
Christian leadership activities. |

Market Heifer. This 13-year-old is
a member of the Decatur County Stars
4-H Club and in addition to her
cattle projects, is active in
photography, foods and fashion
projects. She’ll be an eighth grader
this fall at Central Decatur and
participates in volleyball,
basketball, softball, track and
chorus. Jordan’s hobbies include
painting, art,
cooking and fashion design. |
