Ashley Graff, Osceola
Biography:
Ashley Graff of Osceola captured the
Grand Champion FFA Market Lamb
banner with her 143.5-lb wether.
This is Ashley’s tenth year
exhibiting at the Iowa State Fair
and her fourth time in the winner’s
circle. She’s a member of the
Osceola Big Chief FFA chapter where
she earned an American FFA degree in
2006. She’ll be a sophomore this
fall at Northwest Missouri State
University in Maryville where she’s
majoring in business
management/marketing. |

Rryan Claussen, Long Grove
Biography:
The Reserve Grand Champion FFA
Market Lamb, a 135.5-lb wether, was
shown by Rryan Claussen of Long
Grove. He’s a member of the North
Scott FFA chapter and also shows
pigs. He’ll be a sophomore this fall
at Scott Community College in
Bettendorf where he’s studying to be
an electrician. When he’s not doing
chores, Rryan umps little league
baseball games, has a part-time
roofing job and enjoys hunting and
fishing. |

4-H Market Lamb - $11,000
Dani Berry, Sac City
Biography:
Dani Berry has won the Grand
Champion 4-H Market Lamb title with
her home-raised, 135-lb lamb,
beating out more than 630 entries in
the competition. This is the sixth
time the Sac City 18-year-old has
won the event. Dani graduated from
Sac Community High School this
spring, where she participated in
basketball, track and softball. Dani
is a member of the Sac County
Horseshoes 4-H club and is active in
her church. She’ll attend Iowa State
University this fall to major in
exercise science. |

4-H Market Lamb - $13,000 *
Danielle Holmes, LuVerne
Biography:
Danielle Holmes of LuVerne captures
Reserve Grand Champion honors with a
lamb that weighed 135 lbs. This is
Danielle’s first time in the
winner’s circle. The 17-year-old
will be a senior and class president
this fall at Corwith-Wesley-LuVerne
High School in Corwith. She’s active
in volleyball, basketball, golf,
band, student council and National
Honor Society. In her free time,
Danielle works in her father’s
veterinary clinic and she plans to
attend Iowa State University next
fall to major in animal
science/pre-vet. |
